Old Woman Creek Reserve is one of the few remaining examples of a freshwater estuary on the southern shore of Lake Erie. It is protected as a State Nature Preserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve. I obtained a permit from the state DNR to paddle there. I am limited to a group of no more than six. We have six signed up already, but send me an email if you would like to be on a waiting list in case someone cancels.We will meet at the parking lot at the mouth of the estuary at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22nd for a two or three-hour paddle.
