New Paddler Trip Progression
We encourage newer paddlers who want to improve their skills in a safe organized fashion to choose trips in numerical order (1), (2), (3), (4), (5)
Pick a trip to match your current skill level, Score your own Paddler Rating Self Test using our on-line system, tell the Trip Organizer what you rating is and whether you would like any informal training assistance. Tell them the most difficult river that you have successfully paddled.
Trip Progression Examples
(1) - Vermilion, Grand, Cuyahoga, Chagrin
(2) - Lower Slippery Rock, Ashtabula, Middle Yough, Casselman
(3) - W. Br. Rocky, Slippery Rock Gorge, Cheat Narrows, N. Br Potomac, Upper New
(4) - Lower Yough, Little Sandy, Ocoee, Nolichucky, Stony Creek
(5) - Cheat Canyon, Lower Gauley, New Gorge, Savage

The Keel-hauler Canoe Club has a huge Event Calender for all our club members. You will be assisted in learning paddling techniques on any trip you come on if you ask the organizer for assistance.
